The LBK Band

While the LBK band will always consist of a minimum of lead guitar, bass, keys, drums, lead and backing vocals, there is no one LBK band as such. Instead, the LBK band is drawn for each gig from a stable of working musicians boasting several decades of experience between them. This ensures the LBK show is almost always available for bookings. LBK has regularly played two simultaneous gigs on one night with different line-ups.

The stable has changed often over seven years but still includes three founding members and others of several years' association. Please meet the current band members:

Brent Murphy - Lead Guitar and Vocals

Brent joined his first professional band at age 17 in New Zealand which went on to score a top ten hit. He later moved to Australia and  built a PA company and recording studio along with forming original local band The Max, playing around the Sydney pub scene. Brent then joined country artist Cam Fletcher as lead guitarist and spent 12 months promoting Fletcher's CD including playing the '98 Tamworth Festival. His next project was to join bass guitarist Greg Lines in pub covers duo GTS which led both to be founding members of Live Band Karaoke in 2003.

Aside from his LBK residence, Brent has since joined with Central Coast original band Rocwater which has released two CDs, extensively toured Australia's east coast, played the Peats Ridge festival, won an ABC music award and sold out local Central Coast venues such as Lizotte's on many occasions. He now performs covers as a solo act and in the duo Nothing Sacred and has formed his latest original band, The Evolvrs.
